We've probably all heard of modelling, maybe it was even a childhood dream for many. But which areas of work are involved at all? A model can work in many areas, the best known of which are: the photo shoot, the catwalk and product photography. We would like to explain the individual fields of application and their differences.
Here, the model presents herself in front of the camera in a variety of poses, with no two shoots being the same. The model markets products and the associated company, and either unusual and special motifs or classic everyday situations can be depicted. The models are made up and have their hair done on the day of the shoot, the outfits are provided by the client. For larger campaigns, a fitting is required, which is a kind of dress rehearsal to see if everything meets the customer's expectations.
In product photography, however, the product is more in the foreground and the model serves in the motive to give the whole thing a bit of life. Product photography can be about furniture, cars or beauty equipment, and the model appears in her own make-up and brings along a selection of her own outfits for the day.
We have all heard of a "catwalk model" – they are elegant, beautiful and captivate the audience with their confident and unique appearance. A catwalk is an extended stage platform on which models present the latest fashion collections. Probably the most important thing for a catwalk model is her height and appropriate measurements.
Our trade fair hostesses are not to be confused with an escort service! We do not arrange jobs of this kind.
Trade fair hostesses provide support at a stand at the trade fair and are now necessary for every exhibitor. They present the company, welcome customers on site with their self-confident and open manner and establish the first contact. In addition, they distribute give-aways and information material to visitors, take over service activities such as offering coffee or cold drinks and supervise prize draws. The classic hostess wears a business outfit, but depending on the trade fair appearance, casual clothes, a costume or even an elegant dress may be worn instead. Of course, this is always done in consultation with the hostess and exclusively with her consent.
Similar to the host/hostess, the promoter always acts in the interest of the company and draws the attention of customers to the product being marketed. Promoters can often be found in supermarkets at tastings, in city centres, at new openings or special events, such as at Christmas time. Promoters speak directly to customers and distribute give-aways, conduct surveys and run competitions. As a promoter, you should be able to approach new people confidently, authentically and openly.
As an influencer, you should definitely have an existing community that you regularly inspire with your content and that trusts you. This is one of the basic requirements for a success-based collaboration. As an influencer agency, we see ourselves as the link between the influencer and the company and ensure that the campaign runs smoothly. Every cooperation can be different - sometimes the client wants several publications directly via different social media channels, such as Instagram or YouTube. This is all individually adapted to the influencer and the brand.
